Join The Conversation is not just a book, it can be more then that if you engage in the practices outlined on its pages. Not only do you gain valuable insight which would take the average person countless hours of dedicated work to realize, you can go from knowing absolutly nothing about Social Media, to becoming somewhat of an expert on the subject. This is because Joseph does not hold back, he puts it out there, to share with his community, to engage in the conversation. He is a believer of the replacement of traditional media approaches with consumer engagement through many channels. This book focuses on the art of conversational marketing. Although practical, first hand experience cannot be replaced, this book will put you worlds ahead of your competition. Joseph Jaffe marks a specific point in time, where the marketing landscape has changed.
Joseph Jaffe's book "Join The Conversation" really is a must read for any professional marketer. It is an invaluable resource which provides you with a multitude of examples and insights into this new world. As a person coming from a traditional media background and relatively new to the social media landscape, I found Joseph's first book, Life After The 30 Second Spot, a refreshing look in the mirror. That book makes you question absolutely everything you do as a marketer. Join The Conversation takes it one gigantic leap foward and turns the marketing world on its head. I would call this a "Grass Routes" classic marketing masterpiece which everyone in the marketing world should read immediately and reference often. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
